AAMC MCAT Interface Chrome Extension

We have just launched an update that features the following updates:

  • Added percentage correct on all questions attempted to the results page.
  • User Interface and User Experience updates and improvements.
  • Added flag for review feature.
  • Added keyboard shortcuts for Flag on/off: Alt + f
  • Saves your results locally while you are using the extension.
  • Navigation menu so you can see all the questions you have answered and flagged.
  • Added more information in the Results area.
  • Added a timer.
  • Added time spent per question in Results area.

About the Chrome Extension

The Jack Westin team has built a chrome extension that will help you excel at the MCAT!  The extension allows those of you who have purchased AAMC practice materials to view content in the proper intended MCAT exam format!  This is huge because it allows you to interact with AAMC practice materials just like you would on an MCAT exam.

How to install and use:

To get started using the extension go to the following link using your Chrome browser:

When the extension is installed you will see a JW icon in your extensions area.

To use the extension follow these steps:

1) Log in to AAMC
2) Go to your practice materials.
3) Click the PRACTICE button the AAMC practice page and once the passages/questions appear click the JW icon.
4) You will now see the practice materials in the MCAT exam design.

If you need to return to the original page just click the JW icon.

Troubleshooting:

In order to best use the extension please hit the “Reset All Questions” button so you start with a fresh state of the material.
